La questione nazionale polacca in Alta Slesia (1918-1921)

Abstract: the paper aims to analyze the national issue that emerged in the German-Polish borderlands in the aftermath of the World War I. The essay focuses on the historical and political aspects which led to the ethnic conflict in the Upper Silesia region. The aim is to understand the reasons why the Polish nationalism – with particular reference to the thought of Roman Dmowski – has found in Upper Silesia a breeding ground for spreading.
